AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

An aqueous solution of an antimicrobial agent comprises an aqueous solution containing 25 µg/ml to 50 µg/ml of an amphiphilic antimicrobial substance containing monoglycerol monolaurate and 12.5 µg/ml to 30 µg/ml of e-polylysine.  When this aqueous solution of an antimicrobial agent is produced, dissolution of the amphiphilic antimicrobial substance can be accelerated by adding sucrose monolaurate, followed by heating to 35°C to 60°C.  This aqueous solution of an antimicrobial agent can be used even if the concentration of the amphiphilic antimicrobial substance is in the range lower than the concentration at which the amphiphilic antimicrobial substance is usually used.  Diglycerol monolaurate may be used in place of monoglycerol monolaurate.
