PURPOSE: A method for controlling uplink interference in a wireless access network is provided to control the uplink interference to an adjacent cell by the terminals placed a cell overlapped region in a multi-cell network so that the uplink connection capacitance may be increased. CONSTITUTION: An upstream interference control system allows a terminal connected to a base station of a multi-cell based wireless connection network to be placed in a cell overlapped region to confirm whether or not interference in an adjacent cell happens(404,408). If the terminal causes the interference in the adjacent cell, the upstream bandwidth for the terminal is reduced and allocated(410).
