#CMT# #/CMT# The mechanism has a gong (1) provided with a supporting element (4) and an arched strand (2) whose end is fixed to the supporting element. An excitation unit such as cam (5) e.g. snail cam, comprises a flexible curved pin i.e. spring plate, whose shape permits pinching of the strand to progressively displace the strand along a movement perpendicular to its plane and suddenly release the strand for vibrating the strand and for producing strong intensity sound. The cam and the pin are formed as a single piece. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Ringing mechanism such as repeater or alarm clock mechanism, for use in a movement of a timepiece (claimed) i.e. wristwatch, to produce sonority. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The cam and the pin are formed as single piece, thus reducing the encumbrance of the excitation unit and facilitating integration of the excitation unit in the timepiece. The pin easily slides on the strand and minimizes the force required to vibrate the strand, thus effectively reducing energy consumption during winding time, and hence ensuring precise running of the timepiece.
