<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly reflect correction in the whole panorama image with simple processing when generating a panorama image by combining a plurality of partial images in a panoramic manner. <P>SOLUTION: A partial image 6 including a face which is close to the center and likely to be attractive in panorama composition is selected as a sampling image among partial images 5 to 7 obtained by recognizing the face from a plurality of partial images 1 to 9. A correction parameter is set by sampling a plurality of pixels from the selected sampling image. The plurality of partial images are combined in a panoramic manner, and correction based on the correction parameter is reflected in the whole panorama image, so that the correction is reflected in the whole image in a manner suitable for the image which is attractive and can be a main part of the panorama image. The partial image is selected as a sampling image, thereby achieving high-speed processing compared with when sampling the pixels from the whole panorama image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
