PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new building utilizing a deep underground space. SOLUTION: This building 10 includes: an underground wall 20 approximately in a circular ring shape in a plan view, the lower portion of which is equipped with a joint portion 21 protruded from a surface and an enlarged base portion 22, and the inside ground of which is excavated; a foundation 31 which is constructed on the bottom of a space enclosed with the underground wall 20; a building body 40 which is constructed on the foundation 31 in such a manner that a space 41 is horizontally formed between at least a part of its outer periphery and the inner periphery of the underground wall 20; and a connecting bridge 50 which is installed at least at a ground surface height so as to connect the underground wall 20 and the building body 40 together.
