<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery, capable of effectively restraining an edge that protrudes from an end face of a porous body forming a gas-flow channel layer from piercing a gas diffusion layer (diffusion layer base material), constituting at least the power generation region of an electrode body, while maintaining a given compression force at stacking, even if a compression force is intensively made to act from the edge. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel battery formed by laminating fuel battery cells 100, each being made up of an electrode body 10 formed of a membrane electrode assembly 3 and gas diffusion layers 4, 4 that pinch the body, with each fuel battery cell 100 made up as the electrode body 10 is pinched by a porous body forming a gas flow channel layer 5 and a separator 7, the electrode body is provided with a power-generating region A1 at the center and a non-power-generating region A2 at a peripheral edge of the power generating region A1, and the porous body 5 consists of a first region 51, corresponding to the power generating region A1 and a second region 52, corresponding to the non-power-generating region A2, the second region 52 further protruded toward an electrode body side than the first region 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
