摘要 A proton conducting membrane, a membrane-electrode assembly, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell, which can realize high impact resistance and high polar solvent resistance as well as high proton conductivity, at the same time, can improve adhesion to an electrode, and can improve power generation performance, are provided. A proton conducting membrane includes a silicon-oxygen bonding structure (A) containing a cross-linked structure formed by a silicon-oxygen bond, and an acid group-containing structure (B) covalently bonded to a silane compound and containing an acid group, which are coupled to each other by a silicon—oxygen bond, wherein the acid group-containing structure (B) includes a structure in which a silane compound (α) having a polymerizable unsaturated double bond and an acid group-containing compound (&bgr;) having an acid group and a polymerizable unsaturated double bond are covalently bonded to each other.
