The invention relates to an arrangement through which the starting of a motorÆs revs restrictor is defined in real time on the basis of the use conditions of the vehicle and the selected gear box ratio. According to the state of art, the revs restrictor is a sub-operation of the control programme which is actuated after reception of the adequate signal which is representative of the rotation frequency of the motor: when the rotation rhythm of the motor attains a predefined frequency (the so-called Upper Rotation Limit or URL), the revs restrictor influences the motorÆs power performance in such a way that further increase of the rotation rhythm proves to be impossible. The invention proposes precise criteria according to which the control programme of the motor does not initiate the restrictor of the URL frequency but it allows, temporally, the motor to continue accelerating if there is precise reason. For instance, if for each speed range the revs restrictor is actuated at a precise rotation frequency of the motor, then - in an indicative embodiment of the invention and especially in second speed range- the revs restrictor is actuated at a slightly increased rotation frequency in order that the vehicle can overpasses in time thespeed of 100km /hour with no need for the operator to change the speed from second to third range. |
