摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser marking method, a laser marking device and an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for producing a permanent mark in an optical element consisting essentially of a material that is transparent in the visible spectrum region, a marking region of the optical element is irradiated with laser radiation in order to generate material changes at a local area near surface in such a way that a mark of prescribable shape and size is generated. The laser radiation has an operating wavelengthλin the wavelength region of between 1.1μm and 9.2μm. A thuliumdoped fiber laser is preferably used as laser radiation source.
