PROCESS FOR PRODUCING FINE PARTICLE OF POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE RESIN, FINE PARTICLE OF POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE RESIN, AND DISPERSION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing fine PPS resin particles and a dispersion thereof by a simple process which can be industrially practiced, and to provide extremely fine PPS resin particles and PPS resin particles having an even particle size.

SOLUTION: The process for producing fine polyphenylene sulfide resin particles is characterized by including the following steps (a) and (b): a step (a) in which a polyphenylene sulfide resin is heated in an organic solvent to obtain a solution of the polyphenylene sulfide resin (dissolution step); and a step (b) in which the solution is flash-cooled to precipitate fine particles of the polyphenylene sulfide resin (precipitation step).
