PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yaw control technique reducing wind direction deviation even when the wind direction is gradually changed for a long time, by suppressing increase in number of times of yaw rotation. SOLUTION: The wind power generator includes a wind direction measuring means and a control device controlling a rotation mechanism. The control device calculates the wind direction deviation from the wind direction and a direction of a wind turbine rotor, and the yaw rotation of a nacelle is performed by the rotation mechanism if either of the following condition (1) or condition (2) is satisfied: (1) a state in which an absolute value of the wind direction deviation is kept to be not less than a first threshold value (or a state in which the absolute value exceeds the first threshold value) for a first duration time; or (2) a state in which the absolute value of the wind direction deviation is kept to be not less than a second threshold value larger than the first threshold value (or a state in which the absolute value exceeds the second threshold value) for a second duration time shorter than the first duration time. The yaw rotation of the nacelle is stopped when an average value of wind directions from a time t<SB>0</SB>-T to a time t<SB>0</SB>matches a direction of a wind turbine rotor, wherein a present time is t<SB>0</SB>, and T is a predetermined time.
