<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fluctuation in success rate of a work of folding, breaking and removing an unnecessary glass part depending on an operator and to enable the operator to remove the unnecessary glass part conveniently and reliably. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This implement 51 for removing an unnecessary part of a glass substrate removes the unnecessary part 103 in a strip-like substrate 101 as an object prepared by a single sheet or pasted two sheets of glass substrates to each other and includes: a first plate-like part 1 having a first edge part 11 as a straight side; and a second plate-like part 2 which has a second edge part 12 as a straight side parallel to the first edge part 11 and is arranged in parallel to the first plate-like part 1 while leaving from the first plate-like part 1 by a distance of a thickness of the object or more.
