PRINTING METHOD USING RADIATION-CURABLE INK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from splitting to leave an image behind a flattening device even if the ink is flattened on a recording medium when using the ink cured by radiation of UV or the like.

SOLUTION: The ink is applied onto a main surface of the recording medium S by a printhead 20 according to image data, and a web 30 substantially transmitting radiant energy is abutted on the main surface of the recording medium S. Pressure of predetermined magnitude is applied to the web 30 and the recording medium S by a spreader 32, and radiant energy is applied to the web 30 and the recording medium S by a curing station 34. After the ink I on the recording medium S is cured, the web 30 and the recording medium S are separated.
