<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve visible light data communication at a sufficient transmission speed by using a blue light excitation type white LED which is versatile and advantageous in cost, without using a blue color filter, while preventing element destruction. <P>SOLUTION: When a drive waveform generation part 110 of a transmitter 100 receives transmission data, the drive waveform generation part 110 and a multi-grayscale driving part 120 generate multi-grayscale driving signals, which are supplied to a blue excitation type white LED140 for illumination. The optical signal output from the blue excitation type white LED140 is condensed with a lens or the like and is made incident on PD210 of a receiver 200, and then converted to a current signal. The current signal is converted to a volt signal by a transimpedance amplifier 212. After being equalized by an equalizer 214, it is binarized by a limiting amplifier 216 to obtain output data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
