PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of preventing erroneous processing based on a nonexistent road. SOLUTION: Concerning a non-road domain route which is a route in a domain other than roads registered in map data, the navigation device specifies the number of traveling times along the route by one's own vehicle, a moving distance shortened by moving along the route in comparison with a case of moving along a road registered in the map data, and existence of a prescribed facility around the route, determines likelihood that the route is an actually existing road based on the specified content, and determines whether the route is an actually existing road or not based on the likelihood. Then, the navigation device performs route guide processing, map image display processing or the like based on the non-road domain route which is determined to be an actually existing road.
