A OPHTHALMIC FLURBIPROFEN ESTER NANO-EMULSION IN-SITU GEL FORMULATION AND THE PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A ophthalmic flurbiprofen ester nano-emulsion in-situ gel formulation and the preparation method thereof is disclosed. The formulation comprises flurbiprofen ester, oils, emulsifying agent, thickening agent, osmotic pressure modifier, bacteriostatic agent, pH regulator, and purified water.The formulation further comprise metal chelating agents. The emulsifying agent is chosen from lecithin, polysorbate, polyoxyethylene castor oil, polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, and their mixtures. The thickening agent is ion-sensitive polymer and chosen from, for example gellan gum, sodium alginate and carbomer. The metal chelating agent is chosen from EDTA, EDTA-2Na, EDTA-Ca, EDTA-2K and their mixtures.
