<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens actuator for optical pickup which can ensure full cover fixing strength with respect to the objective lens actuator, while making it thinner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The objective lens actuator includes a base 10, an objective lens assembly 2, and an actuator cover 11 fixed to the actuator cover attaching part of the base. The actuator cover 11 has hook parts 111 and 112 formed by bending both ends. The base 10 has engaging projections 106 and 109, capable of locking the actuator cover by press-contacting of the hook parts of the actuator cover. Adhesive stays 107 and 108 are formed, in parts corresponding to corner parts formed between the body part of the actuator cover and the hook parts.
