<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of economically manufacturing printed products ranging from those in a small number to industry-related printed products. <P>SOLUTION: A device (1) representing a controller (15), at least one printer (4) for manufacturing a book block (8), at least one conveyor (9) for conveying the book block (8), and at least one post-processing device (19, 19') is installed for the production of printed products. In the post-processing device (19, 19'), each of covers (13) is attached to the corresponding book block (8). The covers (13) are manufactured beforehand and supplied into an accumulator (16) where they are identified. According to the supply of the covers (13) into the accumulator (16), at least one printer (4) is caused to start the manufacturing of book blocks (8).
