1,088,081. Hot water boilers. BUDERUS'SCHE EISENWERKE. Jan. 19, 1965 [Jan. 25, 1964], No. 2294/65. Heading F4A. A drum-shaped water heating boiler has one or more combustion chambers 1 parallel to the boiler axis each containing a surface-combustion refractory gas radiator 2 spaced from the walls of the combustion chamber. The parts of the combustion chambers extending beyond the radiators 2 provide after-heating surfaces each bearing helical guide surfaces 5 and containing a cylindrical tube 6. A water heating coil 10 may be arranged in the water space of the boiler and baffles provided in the water space. In a modification, the tubes 6 are conical and the helical guide surfaces 7 thereon are dispensed with. Also the helical guide surfaces 5 are replaced by ribs extending in the direction of flow of the combustion gases.
|
