The centrifugal pump (1) has a pump housing made of plastic material, and three axially parallel ribs (12), which are provided between a separating can (6) and a claw pole stator (8). The ribs are distributed with large angular distance one below the other over an extent of the separating can. A stator is provided, which is firmly pressed at the separating can by the ribs. The stator is firmly press-fitted in a motor housing part (10) by the ribs. An independent claim is included for a method for mounting a centrifugal pump.
