<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device which enables a user to set a target parking position easily by a remote operation means such as a joystick. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The parking support device which sets a target parking position by a target parking frame and carries out support for parking a vehicle at a preset target parking position includes: a remote operation means which remotely operates a pointer superimposed and displayed on a picked-up image of the periphery of a vehicle; a direct movement means which directly moves the target parking frame to a coordinate position inputted from the user by the remote operation means; a direction movement means which moves the target parking frame in the direction associated with a selected direction button by making the user select the direction button displayed by being superimposed on the picked-up image by the remote operation means; a changeover means which changes over a direct movement mode by the direct movement means and a direction movement mode by the direction movement means by the operation of the remote operation means; and a control means which automatically guides the vehicle to the target parking position.
