METHOD FOR METAL SURFACE DEACTIVATION

The method is applied for chemical and mechanical deactivation of radioactive polluted metal surfaces in the nuclear power engineering. It consists of heating to 40-50 degrees C of the deactivation aqueous solution in % based on iron chloride (FeCl3) from 120 to 40 in combination with sulphuric acid from 0 to 10 or hydrochloric acid from 0 to 5 and surfactant 0.2-2%. The heated solution is sprayed in a chamber by means of pressure nozzles on the treated surface of the part. The solution is recycled by filtration and heating. 2 claims
