<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holder that can well support a support element of a torsion coil spring and can be formed easily. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The brush holder 10 includes a brush box for holding a brush for feeding; a strut for supporting a coil of a torsion coil spring; and a support 10f for supporting a support element projecting from the other end of the coil of the torsion coil spring in an effort to urge the brush for feeding by means of an urging element projecting from one end of the coil of the torsion spring. The support 10f includes a support plane 10g tilted in a direction in which pressing force is applied from the supporting element toward the proximal end side of the strut along a direction in which the coil is assembled in the axis direction of the strut. The support element is supported by being brought into pressure contact with the support plane 10g. By using shrinkage of a resin material 22 during curing, the support plane 10g can be easily formed together with the strut (without using a slide core, etc.) by means of one upper mold 21 that moves along the axis direction of the strut.
