WELDING METHOD AND WELD STRUCTURE WELDED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the visual inspection of a welded state in a weld zone in a welding method.

SOLUTION: A welding method for superposing and welding a first metallic member 10 and a second metallic member 12 includes the steps of: forming an opening in the first member 10; superposing the opening formed in the first member 10 on the second member 12 to form a recess 18; assembling a preliminary substrate 16 for welding by inserting a metal piece into the recess 18; and heating, melting and solidifying the first and second members 10 and 12 and the metal piece to weld them by irradiating the recess 18 with a laser beam.
