<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with a supplement having the efficacy desired by him. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for determining a composition includes: an allowable intake storage unit for storing a reference value for the amount of each nutrient; a question storage unit for storing each question in association with a plurality of answer candidates; a table for storing the kinds of nutrients to be contained in a supplement and their amounts in association with each of the answer candidates; a question execution unit for letting a user choose an answer to a question and obtaining the answer; a composition determining unit for obtaining the kinds of nutrients and their amounts corresponding to the selected answer candidate from the table, and determining composition target information indicating the nutrients to be contained in the supplement and their amounts; a nutrient amount changing unit for changing the amounts of nutrients according to the reference values if the amounts of nutrients indicated in the combination target information exceed the reference values of the nutrients; and a functional material amount replenishment unit for determining a functional material to be replenished to the supplement and its amount on the basis of the changed amounts of nutrients. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
