GLASS FOR AUTOMOBILE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass for automobile which has microparticles of tungsten oxide or a tungsten oxide composite material on its surface and high defogging capability by maintaining high hydrophilicity for a long time.

SOLUTION: In glass for automobile which possesses microparticles of tungsten oxide or a composite material of tungsten oxide on its surface, an average particle diameter of the microparticles is in the range of 1 to 200 nm and an aspect ratio of the microparticles is in the range of 1-3.5. When microparticles of tungsten oxide or a tungsten oxide composite material excellent in photocatalytic performance under visible ray irradiation are used, decomposition of organic stains and gas and antibacterial-bactericidal performances can be added.
