<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device using palladium and showing high exhaust emission control performance. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device 10 for a motorcycle includes a single cylinder four cycle engine 12, a carburetor 13 supplying fuel by the intake negative pressure of the engine 12, an exhaust pipe 14 and an exhaust muffler 15 connected to an exhaust port 12B of the engine 12, a catalyst converter 30 provided in an exhaust muffler 15. In the exhaust emission control device, a secondary air introduction device 20 introducing fresh air into the exhaust pipe 14 is provided at an upstream side of a catalytic converter 30, the catalytic converter 30 carries noble metal including palladium (Pd) and rhodium (Rh). A component ratio (weight ratio) of the noble metal is Pd/Rh=20/1-8/1, and a carried quantity of the noble metal is 1059.44-2648.60 g/m<SP>3</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
