SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PROTECTING A POWER PLANT USING FPGA

PURPOSE: A system and a method for protecting various protective logics are provided to remove weakness of a cyber security and a common failure due to software using an FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) and hardware. CONSTITUTION: A power plant protection system has four channels. Each channel comprises a comparison logic unit, a simultaneous logic unit(200) and a start circuit unit(300). The comparison logic unit generates a comparison logic information by comparing a process valuable and a set value. The simultaneous logic unit generates simultaneous logic information related to the power plant protection device by performing a local simultaneous logic for the comparison logic information generated in four channels. The start circuit unit starts the power plant protection by performing simultaneous logic for the simultaneous logic information.
