FIELD: electricity. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering and may be used in multi-zone methodological induction heaters. Method makes it possible to increase accuracy of temperature maintenance and evenness of item heating at the output from inductor. Number of heating zones are selected as at least two. Change of capacity of controlled source of power supply for each subsequent zone is calculated in controller of previous zone after control action result has been assessed. In device for method realisation controlling unit of each inductor is equipped with additional inlet and additional outlet. Additional outlet of each controlling unit is connected to inlet of subsequent controlling unit. ^ EFFECT: improved accuracy of temperature maintenance and evenness of item heating at the outlet of plant, reduction of losses for rejection in transition process of speed change, and also under conditions of the first supply of product into inductor or under conditions of considerable variation of physical parametres along item length or from one item to another one. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg |
