<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector which is equipped with a backwashing mechanism of preventing clogging of a bag filter by inhibiting deposition of powder on the downstream side (secondary side) of a gas flow in the bag filter where a larger amount of the powder accumulates in comparison with the upstream side (primary side) of the gas flow. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the dust collector 100, a plurality of bag filters 15 is horizontally fixed at predetermined intervals in a casing 10, an air exhauster is installed which has a gas inflow port 12 and a gas outflow port 13, and the backwashing mechanism is installed which discharges compressed air into the inside of the bag filter 15 to remove the powder accumulating on the outside of the bag filter 15. The backwashing mechanism has a first air nozzle 16 installed on the gas outflow port 13 side of the bag filter 15, and a second air nozzle 26 installed on the other end side of the bag filter 15 so as to face the first air nozzle 16.
