<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing apparatus having a mist generator for atomizing washing water and generating the mist and for preventing an opening from being erroneously opened during filling mist, and allowing the mist to disappear in a short time when operation is stopped. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The washing apparatus includes the mist generator 12 for atomizing the washing water and generating the mist. When the operation is stopped by an operation portion 5, the lock of a cover body is released after a prescribed time elapses. Then, a user is prevented from erroneously opening the opening during a period filling the mist. Thus, the user does not have an unpleasant feeling by the leakage of the mist to the outer part of the washing tub, and the convenient washing apparatus is provided.
