FRICTION PAIR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction material that stably forms and maintains a friction surface excellent in suppressing noises and vibrations and a friction pair using the friction material. SOLUTION: The friction pair includes a first friction material and a second friction material which are combined together so that a friction surface of the first friction material is made to abut on a friction surface of the second friction material. The first friction material has a metallic material, and the second friction material has a means to facilitate a formation of an oxide film on the friction surface of at least either one of the first and the second friction materials by oxidizing the metallic material when the friction surface of the first friction material is made to abut on the friction surface of the second friction material.
