<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous drive warning system capable of improving the reliability of a warning about a continuous drive time by bringing the warning closer to driver's physical sensation, and a method of controlling the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The continuous drive warning system includes at least one of a door sensor for detecting the opening and closing of a door, a seatbelt sensor for detecting that the seatbelt of the driver's seat is fastened or unfastened, a sensor for detecting the opening and closing of a window, and a sensor for detecting that vehicle audio equipment is operated. A control device has, as a condition, at least one of the vehicle speed continuing to be zero for a predetermined period of time, the door opened or closed a plurality of times while the vehicle speed is zero, the seatbelt of the driver's east unfastened while the vehicle speed is zero, the window which is opened or closed, and the vehicle audio equipment which is operated, and has the function of reducing continuous drive time if the condition is met.
