PURPOSE: A plate for chair and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, which can allows elasticity by binding the elastic fiber to the frame. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a plate for a chair comprises: a step of manufacturing a plate by fixing the elastic fiber that the strip is fixed to the frame(130) after fixing a strip(114) to the edge of the elastic fiber(112) containing elastic thread having the thermal shrinkage property; and a step of giving the elastic force by heating elastic fiber fixed to the plate and contracting the elastic thread. The strip fixed to the elastic fiber is inserted into the side of the cover(120) and fixes the cover to the frame.
