PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for biasing the rotation axis of a motor and a disc reproducing apparatus that reduces space and the number of parts of a holding unit. SOLUTION: The mechanism includes a motor unit 40 having a motor 41; a motor mounting unit 23 that is provided at a chassis 20 with the motor unit 40 and has a notch 26 for the axis for inserting the rotation axis 41a therethrough; a wire spring 30 that biases the rotation axis 41a, changes the extension direction, and has a bent part 33 for changing height with respect to the motor mounting unit 23 as moving toward at least one side in the extension direction; and notches 28 and 29 for springs provided at the motor mounting unit 23, and receiving an end of the wire spring 30 to be inserted therethrough. At least before the motor unit 40 is mounted, the wire spring 30 biases the motor mounting unit 23 by the bent part 33 in contact with the motor mounting unit 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
