PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing means visually setting an enlargement/reduction ratio of a document image to be printed and of easily obtaining a document image having a desired size. SOLUTION: A multifunction printer (MFP) 1 is provided with: a document image acquiring means 55 for reading a document image; a document image enlargement/reduction means 70 for enlarging/reducing the read document image at a predetermined ratio; a sheet selection means 58 for selecting the size of a sheet on which the document image is printed; a sheet image generation means 80 for generating a sheet image indicative of the size of the selected sheet; a display image synthesizing means 75 for generating a synthesized image by overlapping a document image enlarged/reduced at least at a first ratio in a range in which the size of the document image to be enlarged/reduced by the document image enlargement/reduction means 70 does not exceed the size of the sheet image over the sheet image; an image display means 95 for displaying the synthesized image, an image enlargement/reduction ratio determining means 85 for determining a second enlargement/reduction ratio based on the size of the document image in the displayed synthesized image; and a printing means 90 for printing the document image enlarged/reduced at the determined second ratio.
