<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of efficiently using a plurality of tuners even when a reception quality of digital broadcast waves changes. <P>SOLUTION: The number of tuners 14a to 14d assigned to a first broadcast channel (for example, a main broadcast channel) is controlled depending on a reception quality QoR of digital broadcast waves. This allows assigning a smaller number of tuners 14a, 14b to the first broadcast channel when the reception quality QoR is high, so that efficient use of the tuners 14a to 14d can be attained. Furthermore, further stabilized reception becomes possible by assigning a larger number of tuners 14a to 14d to the first broadcast channel when the reception quality QoR is low.
