The insert (1) has a clamping spring (5) and a bus bar element (2) that includes a conductor retaining slot (4) and a conductor clamping connection that is formed at the slot for electrically contacting and clamping an electrical conductor by the spring. The element has electrically conductive surface sections (3a, 3b) with conductor lead-through openings (4a, 4b), where the connection is formed at one of the sections (3a). The sections are arranged adjacent to each other with its surface planes such that the openings are aligned with each other and form the slot. An independent claim is also included for a conductor connection terminal including locking elements.
