<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to automatically perform an operation mode or an energy saving mode by estimating an area in which persons exist. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a housing, a heat-exchanger, a fan, left and right wind plates, top and bottom wind plates, and an infrared rays sensor. The infrared rays sensor has a human body sensor(140c) which uses an infrared sensor, and estimates whether persons exist or not by dividing an indoor space into multiple areas. The air conditioner determines the malfunction of the human body sensor.</p> |
