The device (12) has a flap lock (14) provided with a rotary latch and mounted in a housing. A locking pawl has an auxiliary lock (16) with a rotary latch. The flap lock and the auxiliary lock are mechanically coupled with one another by uniform actuation. The rotary latch of the auxiliary lock is adjustable in opening or closing positions by a connecting element e.g. Bowden cable (22). The connecting element is connected directly or indirectly with the locking pawl of the flap lock. A locking connection adjusts height of a set of housing parts.
