<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device capable of quickly touching and separating both contacts so as not to make foreign bodies such as a lubricant infiltrate into a case for housing both fixed and movable contacts and reducing noises generated at the time of operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The movable contact 16 located in the sealed case 1 is moved via a movable contactor 8 having an armature 7 with a movement of a magnetic short-circuit object 23 moved outside the sealed case 1. The movement of the movable contact 16 (movement of a movable contact 8) by the movement of the magnetic short-circuit object 23 is based on changes of magnetic force of a magnet 6 extended to the movable contactor 8 via a pair of yokes 4, 5. Buffer materials 32, 33 are arranged on the outside of the sealed case 1 so as to prtrude to a magnetic short-circuit object 23 side from the yokes 4, 5, and the magnetic short-circuit object 23 is butted with the buffer materials 32, 33 when the magnetic short-circuit object 23 moves in a direction where the magnetic short-circuit object 23 comes in contact with the yokes 4, 5.
