PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently correct a blur component and a distortion component while avoiding a decrease in processing speed due to an increase in data amount of an image restoration filter.

SOLUTION: An image processing method of processing an image obtained by image pickup using an optical system 101 includes: a step of acquiring the image; image restoration steps S2 to S7 of performing image restoration processing for reducing a blur component of the image using the image restoration filter; and a distortion correction step S8 of performing geometric conversion processing for reducing a distortion component of the image after the image restoration processing.
