<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an oil ring body improved in both oil seal function and frictional force reducing function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method includes: an arrangement step of alternately arranging an oil ring body 2 and a ring-like spacer 11 having the same diameter as the oil ring body 2, and fixing them to a rotating shaft of a tool so that the outer circumference has substantially a circular shape as viewed from a cylinder axial direction while closely fitting a first rail and a second rail constituting the oil ring body 2 to the ring-like spacer 11; and a round-processing step of driving the rotating shaft onto which the oil ring body 2 and the spacer 11 are alternately aligned and fixed while pressing an abrasive member onto the outer circumference of the first rail and second rail constituting the oil ring body 2 and the spacer 11, and chamfering inner circumferential end portions of the contact areas of the outer circumferential sliding surface of the first rail and the second rail contacting with a cylinder liner inner wall surface.
