METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF ANTIHELICOBACTER THERAPY IN CHILDREN WITH GASTRODUODENAL PATHOLOGY

A method for assessing the efficacy of antihelicobacter therapy in the children with gastroduodenal pathology and low level of bacterial infection of mucosa provides for the quantification of H. pylori in bioptate of gastric and duodenal mucosa by polymerase chain reaction. Furthermore, the genotype of the fragments of VacA and CagA genes of H. pylori is assessed with the aid of polymerase chain reaction two weeks after the beginning of antihelicobacter therapy.
