SOLUTION: The pharmaceuticals, i.e. curative or preventive agents for kidney fibrosis, include a lactone derivative represented by chemical formula (II) (wherein, R1is H, halogen atom, substituted alkyl or the like; R2is H, alkyl, acyl, heterocyclic group or the like), an enlarged cyclic six-membered cyclic lactone derivative derived therefrom, and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof.
