摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a power feeding method thereof, capable of superseding the limit of conventional power saving, and sufficiently contributing to the battle against global warming. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The communication devices each include a power feeding system 24. The power feeding system 24 at least supplies power to a control part 28 from a power supply device 26 including a photovoltaic power generation module 34. A monitoring function part 52 of the control part 28 monitors the electric power of feeding signals 42, 46, and 50 from the power supply device 26. A power supply control function part 54 generates a switching control signal 72 according to the feeding condition of an IP communication system and data 66, 68, 70 from the monitoring function part 52. Feeding signals 76, 78, and 80 of the voltage having been converted at a voltage conversion function part 56 are switched according to the switching control signal 72 by a power supply switching function part 58, for outputting a feeding signal 82. A calculation function part 60 calculates the amount of power saving based on the monitoring result of feeding, and outputs the calculation result to an information managing device.
