PURPOSE:To obtain a developer small in attachment to a fixing roller, and seldom causing offset, by using a specified styrene type monomer graft polyethylene wax as a main material. CONSTITUTION:A styrene type monomer graft polyethylene wax (SGW) is formed by subjecting 99-10pts.wt. polyethylene wax (a) having 0.06-2dl/g intrinsic viscosity in decalin at 135 deg.C to graft polymerization by 1-90pts.wt. styrene type monomer, such as styrene or alpha-methylstyrene. Said wax SGW (A) optionally together with an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and a colorant (B), such as carbon black or phthalocyanine blue, are heated and mixed by melting them, then cooled, solidified, and finely pulverized to obtain 5-35mum average diameter particles serviceable as a developer or an electrostatic toner. |
