PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle, stopping a heater on detecting boiling, and announcing the completion of boiling after boiling of a liquid comes to an end, thereby preventing boiled liquid from bubbling over. SOLUTION: The electric kettle includes: an electric kettle body storing a predetermined quantity of liquid, the upside of which is opened, the bottom thereof being provided with a heating heater; an opening and closing lid covering the opening of the electric kettle body; a control means for controlling the heating heater; and a thermistor for detecting the boiling condition of a liquid. A sidewall of the electric kettle body is provided with a handle, and the control means is housed in the handle. After the lapse of a predetermined time period from when the liquid stored in the electric kettle body is boiled, an alarm is emitted to announce boiling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
