<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing circuit which performs image processing for removing noise generated in an image and which can be adapted flexibly to high speed processing. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing circuit operates in synchronization with a clock signal, receives inputs of values of pixels arranged in order on a line according to the order of arrangement, and generates processed pixel values corresponding to the pixel values of the pixels inputted in order. The image processing circuit includes: a difference pixel value generating circuit for generating a difference pixel value indicating a difference between the pixel value of the current pixel and the pixel value of the immediately preceding pixel; a coefficient value generating circuit for receiving an input of the difference pixel value in synchronization with a first edge of the clock signal and outputting a coefficient value corresponding to the difference pixel value in synchronization with the first edge or the succeeding edge; and an operation circuit for performing operation using the pixel value of the current pixel, the coefficient value and the processed pixel value corresponding to the pixel value of the immediately preceding pixel, and generating a processed pixel value corresponding to the pixel value of the current pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
