<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom which allows a dweller to confirm his/her appearance on the spot after the end of a call. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An intercom master unit 2 includes: a base 11 which is attached to the wall surface; a control board 12 including a power supply part; a substrate 13 for LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) control; a cover 14; a display part 15 with the liquid crystal display which displays a visitor image photographed by a camera of a door phone slave unit outside a figure; a call button 16: a one-way mirror 17 which is a face plate of the display part 15; and a decorative panel 18. The display part 15 acts as a mirror since back light becomes off after the end of the call and the inside of the one-way mirror 17 which is the face plate becomes dark. Thus, when a dweller meets a visitor after the end of the call, the dweller can confirm his/her appearance by the one-way mirror 17 via the door phone slave unit outside the figure.
